Kayak Center
This center has long been a training course for future champions. Kayaking in Solkan has a rich tradition and has thrived over the years — so much so that it was even featured on a Slovenian postage stamp. There is also a statue dedicated to whitewater sports in town.

The Solkan Bridge
The Solkan stone railway bridge was built in 1906 by leading Austrian engineers. It had an arch span of 85 m and was at the time the second-longest stone bridge in the world. Today's bridge from 1927, built by Italian craftsmen, is an almost authentic snapshot of its predecessor, which was blown up in World War I.

Footbridge over the Soča River rapids
Solkan lies on the left bank of the Soča River, where the lower Soča Valley meets the Goriška Plain and the Friulian Plain in Italy. To the north of Solkan, there are the Trnovska and Banjška planota plateaus. To the west, the hills of Brda boast picturesque landscapes and vineyards. The Vipava Valley opens up to the east with its sunlit landscape and windswept slopes.
