Transport
The easiest way to get around Solkan is by bike or on foot, but if you arrive by car, many parking spaces are available across the town. You can also use public transport – there is a circular bus service (free of charge) from Solkan to Nova Gorica, Šempeter and Vrtojba. Alternatively, you can also get around by taxi.

You can rent a bike with valid ID at:

Train
The Bohinj Railway runs along the Soča Valley and through Bohinj to Jesenice. In the opposite direction, you can reach Koper across the Karst. The Solkan railway station is located right in front of the Solkan Bridge. The historical railway station in Nova Gorica is located on the outskirts of the city right next to the border, facing the neighbouring Italy.
